Times:
- Morning session: 6:30, 7:00, or 8:00 AM
- Afternoon session: 2:00-7:00 PM
Lesson Structure:
1. Surf Theory (30 minutes):
- For beginners: Basics of surfing, equipment selection, safety instructions.
2. In-water Training with Instructor (1 hour 30 minutes):
- 1st Surf Session (45 minutes):
- Practice basic movements under instructor guidance.
- 15-minute break:
- 2nd Surf Session (45 minutes):
- Review and reinforce skills with instructor.
3. Independent Session (30 minutes):
- Surfing without instructor assistance but under instructor supervision.
What to Bring:
- Swimsuit/board shorts
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Snacks
- Water
Additional:
- Lesson usually includes rental of board, wetsuit, and other necessary accessories.
- Check with surf school about transportation to the lesson location.
- Lesson difficulty level may vary depending on the surf school.
Tips:
- Arrive 15-20 minutes early to change and get ready.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
- Listen to and follow the instructor’s directions.
- Don’t get discouraged if you don’t stand up right away. Surfing takes practice.
- Most importantly, have fun!
